No joke. I can hardly believe it myself. I will likely follow up with a phone call tomorrow, but am hoping Cornell is proficient at sending the correct decisions out…

congrats buddy. come to think of it, there’s no meaning of lieing about acceptance here. so just honestly congratulations!!
i think they have seen your dedication and passion toward Cornell and your effort has got you in.
i’m glad your effort paid off like this way

I had my application materials in before September. This is my third time applying guys, believe me, I would not post this if it weren’t true

I go to a competitive 4-year public university
Viticulture and Enology major, Food Science minor
3.391 GPA
111 quarter credits, making me a mid-way junior
No SAT’s submitted
Recent winemaking internship at a prestigious winery
Very good recommendations
Scholarships
Many extra-curricular activities
Legit essays…

Hope for the re-applicants!

Do you remember when your materials were submitted to an admissions committee?

i know you are tired of questions by now but which CALS did you apply for?

Whoaaaaaa a decision already? Crazy. I guess I have annoy my mailman every day now.

Huge congratulations, by the way.

^^^ disregard my post. i see you applied for viticulture and enology.

Oh yeah, calpoly, you said you called in and they told you mid November, and the lady asked for your name, and she replied very cheerfully…Maybe she knew that you got in and you were in for a great surprise =D.

Although, way to lie about mid November, those tricky peeps in admissions.

to jemmayale: I sent in everything I could send in without consulting other people (common app + supplement) September 3rd. I guess that’s early?

^^^LOL, that is a very tricky game indeed.

OMG!! Congrats, CalPoly!! Wow!! Ok, so it has began…eek.

Are they sending out the decision in the order we applied. If so, acctransfer should have a decision soon. Anybody else who sent there app. way early??

Wow, so I’m guessing you’ll be hearing soon also!! Best of luck. I hope you get the fattest envelope you have seen in your life ahahaha

I submitted commonapp + supplement on sept. 16th. My application wasn’t marked as forwarded for review until like the first week of october though.

i submitted stuff pretty early too. but as transferstudent2, my app got all checked off for review after the first week of Oct. like 8th…and then i sent rec letters like a week ago. so guess i wont hear back soon :(

i submitted things online on 9/26 and then finished sending the last things on oct 1, and very shortly after that mine was forwarded for review. omgomgomg i’m so scared!!! but congrats again cal, you must be so happy!!! i hope i get to join the accepted reapplicants club soon!

Congrats Cal! You must feel soooo relieved and excited. You are an inspiration to all of us! :-)

Congrats! CALS is very efficient. Dragon was the first to get his CALS acceptance last time, way ahead of everyone else.

wow this is unbelievable man! Congrats to ya. The world has now been lifted off your shoulders.

DID i NOT SAY BEFORE HALLOWEEN! SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGE ME!

oh btw, today i was looking through the mail and i saw a small envelope from cornell and my heart sank until i saw that it was addressed to the boyfriend. i seriously was going to cry. terrible, terrible feeling
i want a big, happy envelope!

many thanks for the congratulations. i am still in disbelief myself. good luck to all of you in these upcoming weeks!

Calpoly is another great testament to the “FIT” factor to especially Cornell’s endowed colleges such as HumEc, CALS, and ILR School.
A GPA with 3.391 but with SOLID/LEGIT essay/interview/extra-curricular activities just proves how Cornell looks at different factors other than GPA and academic achievements…
