Yeah, I’m almost anti-Halloween this year. I’m going to catch up on all the shows I missed this week/last week online, do some reading for my Organizational class, Psych paper, and then just chill. Oh, and I work like 11-4:15 that day (such a weird-ass shift.)

Oh my God…I can’t wait for Christmas. Like I said, as soon as Nov. comes it’s all I can think about. I just love the entire holiday season. I even tend to do better in school because I focus more (which is kind of the opposite of what you would think…) I just feel like people are just in a much better mood, and if they’re not I get them in one, lol. Especially at work. Though my mom will be freaking out as to how many cookies she has to bake and send to relatives.

300th post on CC!..neat…lol. [/nolife] Actually for a forum that I’ve been technically on since the beginning of '07, 300 posts isn’t much.

Water, I love love love the holiday season and for us in PR we extend it to January 6 lol I just love it! The happy atmosphere, the cold breeze, the twinkle lights, the smell of cookie, the holiday music, the dances, the smell of apple pie, the tree decorating, whats not to love about thanksgiving, christmas and new years! I love them all. My mom is kind of a Grinch this year . My only outlet will be my sister. Thank God for her hahahaa

Haha, same jemma, my mom like ruins it sometimes, I don’t understand why people can’t just live in the moment and be happy. Holidays = epic win.

Calp, I got it a week later (they actually said so in the acceptance letter, does it say it somewhere on there?)

omg, the holidays are my favorite time of year. and i love disney world, because i’m a baby, so whenever i can, i spend the holidays in orlando. i went last year with andy and my two brothers and i’m going again this year but just with andy. it’d be amazing to have an acceptance in hand, go to orlando for 2 weeks, come home, buy stuff and pack, and then move up to cornell another 2 weeks later! but for real, the holidays are my favorite. i love the commercials, shows, movies, food, music, store decorations, driving around looking at christmas lights, holiday-flavored things (gingerbread lattes!!!), AHH EVERYTHING! haha i’m so happy now thinking about christmas

Well thanks, Debbie Downer. Why don’t you go ruin some other non-college conversations in other threads? XD

ugh. off to my Com Law quiz followed by 6-7 hours of chemistry (lecture > IQS > lab, with a quiz in between and some 20 min break thrown in there for my muffin. No, not my girlfriend, an actual muffin.)

i feel always so outa the loop because i never have time to get on this site anymore, but to touch on a few topics:

Paranormal Activity messed me up for at least 3 days. Not to mention, last night my boyfriend and i found a broken lightbulb shattered in our bed UNDER the covers and we have NO way of explaining how it happened or how it got there… needless to say i was mentally bugging out last night?

holidays blow. mostly because i work at the mall as a manager of a very popular corporate owned store, so my life will be hell for the next 2 months due to rude, obnoxious, self absorbed shoppers who are only concerned with getting their little princess the exact sweatpants they want and yell at me when we dont have it in their size. (i beg anyone reading this to PLEASE be polite to us mall employees enslaved by corporate america this year?)

I have a stats test today. ■■■ :[

alright :] i think that sums up my two cents on each topic, i’ll see you all in another week <333

NJ malls are not that bad…haha!! I’m working for Macy’s Cosmetics again this year. I had the same holiday job last year and really enjoyed it. I work in the front of the store, so I’m in the midst of all the decoration, music & activity (& Starbucks!)
I LOVE the holidays!!! :-)

Brandnew…I love VS! Let me know if ur @ Short HIlls, Rockaway, etc… I’m going to my Aunt’s in Parsippany next week & will come & have lunch w/you!!! xoxo :)

well i wont really have real Halloween this year. too many exams this week and next week. eewwkk.

keep competition this year? is that something that those letters say every year? i hope its just a format that has to be followed just to make itself look formal every year…lol

Yea, well, NJ is just the smelly, polluted, ■■■■■■■ child of New York and doesn’t even belong in this country. Take that to the bank and cash it, Lacey.

Terron- Some astronomically high figure
Lacey- Still a loser ;)

And FYI, I have shopped at Victoria’s Secret before and I even have an angel’s card (or whatever they call that thing.) Before any of you get any ideas, I wasn’t shopping for myself. It was for my current ex.

Anyway, message to all of those applying to ILR: I just got off the phone with them to ask about my midterm report and the rep. told me a couple of insightful pieces of information.

Even if your application is not completed due to a late midterm report, it doesn’t really matter. ILR will not start reviewing apps until about the first or maybe second week of November. I asked her why this was since I know some people from CALS have already gotten decisions, and she basically told me that since they’re the second smallest school at Cornell, they don’t rush like the larger colleges. Seems a little counter-intuitive IMO, but whatever.

Notifications regarding acceptance or rejection may not be out until December, with financial aid forms being sent out around December/January.

If anyone was wondering, the admissions rate is just about the same as it is during the fall. Last spring semester, they had 46 people apply, with 23 being accepted and 15 who decided to matriculate.

Ugh, I wanna know about CAS sooo bad!!! Thats means that larger colleges are sending the answers first or just that ILR is small enough to be lazy in regards of the decisions??
