Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

Wow, congratulations foshodub. I can’t begin to imagine how great you must feel! … and I guess for the rest of us, decisions should be coming out quite soon!

Also, foshodub, if you don’t mind me asking… where do you currently attend?

foshodub- CONGRATS, hope to join you soon!

Stryke: Nassau Community College

Also in the credit evaluation is says that i am transferring 56 credits.

Ah, so you’re currently a junior fosho? I wonder if they accept a certain amount of sophomores and juniors, rather than pooling us all in the same category (I bet they pool us, though…)

Don’t forget to find us on Facebook if you haven’t yet! [Cornell Spring 2010 Transfers | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook)

Ugh I want to know…it’s nail biting time for all us CALS peeps.

stats please

Ah, NCC…Maybe that’s why you heard back so quickly (since valvsu and I submitted very early and still haven’t heard back yet). I’m going to go to NCC if my Plan A (getting accepted) doesn’t work out, because NCC has an agreement with Cornell. As long as you demonstrate fit, have the prereqs, and get a good enough GPA, you are considered a guaranteed acceptance for most of the majors, and for biological sciences, a highly competitive applicant. Most of the courses are easily transferrable from NCC to Cornell, so your credit evaluation must’ve been completed quickly and that’s why you got your acceptance so soon. Or maybe I’m just doing self justification in that the fact I haven’t heard yet means something bad T_T.

ANYWAY, CONGRATS!!! Bio is hard to get into and I applaud you.

congratulations! Just checked my mailbox… nothing. It seems only CALS has gotten acceptances?

Riley, so far, that’s what it seems like… and only a few people too…

I wonder when CAS decisions are going to be released… :)

Yeah, only CALS is doing acceptances now. Ecology and CAS will be later this month followed by ILR and (I assume) the other schools (Engineering, Hotel…I’m missing one?) in December.

Az, I know the feeling, I’m praying every night because I feel like I’ve run out of options to take more classes at my current CC, and commuting to a further one would be too difficult to schedule. Your backup plan is solid though, just in case that awesome Plan A doesn’t come out on top.

We’ve gotta know, Cornell! Make it a Happy Tuesday for us!

Early responses = Acceptance
Late responses = Denial

I hope these equations are not true

Engineering actually doesn’t have Spring admissions, I believe. They are hardcore. My boyfriend sounds dead and angry on the phone because he’s so stressed lol.

I actually live in Nassau (zomg dun stalk meh!), so I am lucky both as a New York state resident and a Nassau county resident that Cornell likes us very much xD. But indeed. Happy Tuesday please, Tuesdays are difficult for me because it’s painting class and painting class stresses me out. The teacher is the head of the my entire major’s department and she went to Yale. Lol.

Lucky for me also that animal sciences is one of the majors listed on that transfers agreement page that is basically “guaranteed acceptance” if you meet the criteria they list, so fwooooooooo :3 :3 :3 :3.

valvsu, I doubt that’s the equation, it’s just they send out decisions as they are made…But I guess that also worries me because that means they didn’t look at my application and go “omg let’s let her in,” instead it was “hmm let’s put this aside and decide later…” or they haven’t looked at it yet because they haven’t evaluated my credits and foshodub’s credits were particularly easy to evaluate because of the transfer agreement NCC has with Cornell. AHHH.

Yea, engineering doesn’t do spring admissions.

Javakula: i dont like posting stats, if you want i will pm u
IS ANYONE ELSE GOING TO TRANSFER DAY?

congrats fosho! thats awesome

and valvsu, not necessarily, i was one of the last people in the fall thread to hear. they were literally waiting to see my mid grade reports

Fosh…I am soooo happy for you!! What a relief, right?
Were you notified by mail or e-mail?
Go out and celebrate!!! :-)

when is transfer day?

How were they, if you don’t mind me asking? Currently, I have a 4.02 semester gpa. It would be higher but I have an A- in macroecon :(

wow congrats foshodub. and brandnew and i are going to transfer day, so find us on facebook and we’ll meet up!

Is it only me… feeling choosing a community college with transfer agreements might’ve been a better choice than choosing a regular four year college…I would have a higher chance of getting in…

Well…Let me retreive what I said. I just remember what I experienced at this university has been undescribable. It’s priceless. But also I have to note that getting into Cornell with this experience would make my life even happier

ironicallyunsure add me to the list ^^
