Apparently 6 new noobs can come out of nowhere. Sorry guys, we don’t mean to be rude, but we were kind of hoping the group we had going was the only competition we had.

@melon: You’re fine, I got in for fall with bio 2 done over the summer. They just say ‘it is advised you complete ___ this summer’ on your acceptance.

No more CALS people, please…I can’t stand the thought that my competition is absolutely overwhelming.

I’ve posted a few times but I guess I’m one of the so-called “noobs” since I don’t post that often, but I will try to be more active especially as the days wind down. But, I have been tracking this thread since day one.

I’m also applying for CAS, Computer Science.

Exactly what waterdept said. I’m sorry if I seemed rude (I think a few hahaha would have been appropriat lol) But its that we hope that only us were applying (big far fetched dream we know lol)…I like being part of only 2 who were applying for CAS, now its multiplying. I can’t take it anymore hahahaa. I want to go back to being the only one. At least up till now, none of the other CAS applicants is a Government major…oh please please let it be that way…

^^ lol well that happens when u wish for something out loud hahah… When did u send ur application? If you don’t mind what r ur stats? Gpa? Standing? School?? If ur not comfortable posting it here u can pm me if you want Just trying to see my competition I’ll send u mine :)

^^ oh my lol!! well apparently i am not as special as I thought hahahahha You know what bothers me though? You guys keep saying “not to upset you”…I don’t bite I promise lol I won’t attack u for having the same major as me lol.
@melon. you will be fine if your grades are strong. i got in to CALS without either bio 1/2, but had all of the other required prereq’s and recommended courses.

just bought my winter coat at the northface store :)… down, waterproof. i’m almost positive that i’m living in Risley. anyone else living on campus?

hmm I think we already have enough applicants for CALS comm…water and me…dont let jamma’s horror happen again…

i am completing pre-reqs this semester, meaning by the time i transfer ill be done with pre-reqs…someone said incompleting them wont hurt…but i hope completing will help

haha i’m hoping that it means there are no other humec applicants
risley’s in north. i wonder why they put you there. most transfers are on west. i finished all my prereqs as a freshman. go me lol. but now i’m taking tons of classes that i’m almost positive won’t transfer over cause they’re weird specific ones. i guess it’ll be good that i at least learned something from them.

Hahahahah, poor jemma. But WOW jemma, your stats are solid. I’d be very shocked if you don’t get in, especially coming from Puerto Rico, I’m sure Cornell considers that to be a nice addition to your app (well…that all depends if a handful of others from your college are applying to Cornell, lol.)

But yeah, no more CALS comm majors, valvsu and I are comfy with just us. [/knocks on wood so we won’t be cursed]

@valv: I’d definitely say it helps your app, having completed the required courses. And it would only hurt if you clearly made no effort to schedule yourself alongside CALS’ pre.reqs and were far behind other applicants (but they’d probably tell you don’t bother applying yet if that was the case.)

@east: I hate that you guys have to wait so long, that sucks! I also hated reading the last spring’s thread of acceptances, because so many people were denied and a lot of them were ILR. I’m gonna go back and crunch the numbers when I get some time to see how many for each school of the CC spring '09 applicants got in.

Waterdept- thanks for the tips! I am going to try them at an event I am heading to on Friday.

east89 - Brandnew does not count. She is already accepted. So it just us three (TFN, east89, Viola). But I believe there was also one more applicant?

Called Ian today again. ILR offers due out beginning of December. Also, although the due date has past, midterm reports dont need to be in until late November.

My finaid application is complete today. Thank god!
