I'm applying interim decision. I already turned in the first part of the application. I know its early but i decided to get a head start. Has anyone else sent in part 1?

i'm applying
and i will send in the part 1 app soon..

I'm applying ID. I sent in part 1 last Friday. : ) I'm excited to FINALLY be getting started!

good luck to yall.

man this brings back alot of memories of sleepless nights working on that app. good luck

Going for the ID as well, I love that endownment/student ratio, and the low tution as a result.

I'll apply.

My son will be applying, but wanted to apply on-line, rather than fill out the application that was sent. Does anyone know when it will be available?

Wow, you guys are getting a good head start. I sent in Part I three days before the deadline and Part II the day before the deadline last year.

I remembered looking at the online form in September last year, so the form should be available by then.

Oh yeah - good luck to everyone. I hope everything turns out great for you guys.

I'm also applying ID. I will be sending Part I this weekend.

Thank you, Raspberry Heaven. September seems a long way off, though. Maybe the paper version will have to do.

This site is very informative and it's useful for me, as a parent, to hear your comments since my son doesn't express to me the angst I often detect here & suspect he must also feel.

Good luck to you all!

Im gonna apply maybe ID. engineering.

I did paper part one and online part two...

Good luck on your boxes!
Make them count.

Or not. Don't worry about the box! DD stuck a scrap of fabric in the box. She liked the color of it. Got in w/ merit aid. :)

The online app is available now, and has beenf or about a week, I think.

I'm applying to Rice. But for citizenship status problems, I'm sending in Part I in August. Even though I have it completely filled out. gRr...

Of course, such evidence is anecdotal.

While anxiousmom's daughter used fabric for her box, I put six hours (an art project) into mine. Both of us got merit aid.

On the other hand, I'm sure that some of the best boxes were denied admission...

At best, the box can show your creativity and Rice enthusiasm. At worst, you've made something cool that may not affect your admissions decision.

Don't skimp out on it... hard work can only pay off.

I'll be in the ID round.

Also doing ID

ID here too. :]

Is anyone here doing the common app? If so, do we still have to send in Part I? And is there even a point in doing the common app (aka, are the essay topics the same for both)?
