Did you get in? Does the application process starts in sept or oct? I will be applying to FAMU pharmacy school the fall of next yr.

I think it starts in October. You can apply early all you want, but you won’t hear anything til about February. I applied last year in October and that’s when I got my acceptance letter… February. Good luck!

Abcd…thanks for the warning. My daughter has been ready to submit her application but they don’t have the online app updated yet to accept for the Fall 2012. She’s applied to some other schools who are already taking apps.

Hey guys, I applied to famu for the spring 2012 semester in july and i’m planning on sending my transcripts by monday. I’m guessing it won’t take that long for them to get it because I live an hour away from famu. I want to live on campus and the deposit is crazy!

@rmdozier i believe you’ll get in…i applied already for the same term…im in the same range as you but i got 20 on the act…so i believe u a shoe in of getting in

ok cc i having a dilemma…the only problem im having with famu is, the fact they keeping saying they didnt recieve my act scores (which was sent off on JULY 6) and when i call the act place they told me they won’t be able to find my act scores using my ssn…so the lady gave me a cycle number, i call famu the man from admission didn’t want to use the cycle number and said they only need the ssn…i need a number or something for i can talk directly with the people who process the scores at that school its annoying that the guy didn’t even try using the cycle number…i need help trying to solve this problem…

@rmdozier, FAMU no longer looks at composite scores. FAMU looks at individual subscores now:

"Effective for summer 2011 we will discontinue the use of SAT total or ACT composite for admission evaluations.
Admission will be based on the following test components:

SAT - Math - 460, Critical Reading - 460, Writing - 440 or
ACT Reading - 19, Math - 19, English/Writing 18"

I think as long as you have the minimum, you’ll get in because your GPA is so high.

@lola662, idk what to tell you. i probably would just call back and give them my ssn… ask if they got it. when they say no, ask why bc it’s been over a month…

i call the act place and explain what been happening and the lady told me she will contact the school i gave her my ssn and she said she will contact them and help them find my act scores i gave her the direct number for one of the admission officers…she told me call back in a week…hopefully they settle this…its because when i register for the test i didnt put my ssn (i didnt kno it at the time)…cross fingers…if that don’t work i talk a differnt admission officer…

i honestly feel like i’m not going to get accepted anywhere :/

You’ll get in somewhere. Where else are you applying? Make sure you take the SAT’s also. You might do better on it, than the ACTs.

I submitted my application for USF and I’m also applying to FSU through C.A.R.E

i want to major in nursing and also theatre, can i do this if its possible and i was wondering is it a good idea or should i just minor in theatre?

i got in for summer 2012 !!! :)

yeah i completed the online application and the paid the app fee in july. i applied for spring 2012 semester
