Who's Applying?!

Hey I’m surprised there isn’t a thread here.
Did any of you apply EA and do you know when we get a response? General thoughts on the school?

There just doesn’t seem to be much Gonzaga talk on CC. My son applied EA to Gonzaga and he hasn’t heard yet. There is a way to look at your application status if you go into the “Admissions” tab.

He toured the campus last Spring and loved the vibe of the school. Everyone was extremely friendly. He did laugh that he had clear skies, rain, then snow, then back to sun all on the same day. The campus is a nice size to get around and it’s adjacent to a lovely river. Many beautiful older buildings mixed with new give it a traditional “campus feel”.

We happen to be Catholic, so the religious aspect was fine for us. There is a gorgeous church on campus. But, if you’re not a religious type ---- that’s fine there too! All that said, it’s remained in his top few favorites.

If you can swing it, go see it.

My son also applied EA. He felt like he could see himself there and liked the feel of the campus. We’re not Catholic (and he’s not religious at all) but felt that it wouldn’t be a problem.

He’s waiting for the decision and the all-important possible merit money!

I am applying and hope to go there!

I was kinda skeptical whether Gonzaga would be a good fit. I am not catholic and I didn’t think I could get used to a small town like Spokane. I even visited when the weather was terrible. However all my doubts were cleared when I stepped on campus and I now want to be a zag!

There are so many reasons why I want to go Gonzaga but what sold it for me was the community. They weren’t kidding when they say you are a zag for live. I have never seen a campus that shows so much pride in their school and I want to be apart of that tradition.

Best of luck to you guys with admissions and hope join you in the class of '16.

I agree! I loved the campus atmosphere so much and everyone was so nice. The curriculum sounds very balanced and interesting. I am moving to Spokane this summer (I’m from the East Coast) so am anxious to hear back from them.

Does anybody know when EA decisions will come out? I thought I read somewhere Jan. 15, but now I can’t find the date. I know someone who got in two years ago and she found out on Dec. 24th. I hope we don’t have to wait until January!

i just found out today! accepted!(:

My daughter was accepted EA today with good money!

S also accepted with nice merit money!

I was accepted today EA. I visited the campus this July, and I absolutely loved it. I wish I could have gone during the school year so I could have dropped in on a class, but my experience was wonderful nonetheless. The campus is lovely, and the school seems like it will be a great fit for me. Even though I’m nonreligious, I’m not at all worried about the religious atmosphere there (but maybe that’s because I live in the Bible Belt). I can barely contain my excitement, and I really would love to get to know my fellow future Zags!

My son was accepted EA with a scholarship. We have not been to the campus yet. My son really wants to go to a catholic school and is still awaiting regular decision from a few other schools. The scholarship money gives us alot to think about. Hopefully, we can visit in the next month or two.

My son was also accepted EA with a scholarship. As a mechanical engineering major we are wondering about the availability of projects in the freshman and sophomore years. Any insights?
