Who's Applying

so which of you are actually applying ED I

Well, I was planning on it. However, due to parental reasons, I am now applying EDII. Hopefully my application will be in the mail in a couple of weeks!

In the mail? Send it online -- they say no preference, but schools really wanna see that you can do it [all] online. Also, there's really no difference between EDI and EDII except deadlines :P

Really? Why is it such a big deal to submit it online? Is it going to hurt me to physically mail it in?

It shouldn't hurt you, no, but my college counselor (who had been an admissions officer at Wake Forest University for several years) always said that they prefer online. It shows them that you do in fact know how to use a computer, it looks neater and more professional, when printed, and it gives them the ability to make multiple copies of your application with ease/send it electronically.
I'm sure there are some people who still submit paper and it's probably okay, but there's a reason the schools pay for the Common App license -- they want to see students use it electronically.

I guess that is a good point. However, I submitted Part I of the application online and then they sent me a printend application. I guess it fell under Application Plan I and I just assumed I was to fill out the application and mail it in. Maybe I should consider submitting it online.

Yeah -- the summer before my senior year, I did all of my applications........entirely on paper. My college counselor made me do them all over again. And I'm glad she did -- they're much less likely to lose your stuff and it can't get lost in the mail.
