I got an email recently about buying football tickets and they look pretty expensive. I live outside of Philly and I think an Eagles game would be about the same price. PSU hasn't had incredible seasons lately and I'm worndering if anyone thinks the season passes are good deals or if I should just go to one big game like vs. Michigan. Single games are $61 and season passes are about $350ish.

"Student" tickets do not cost that much, if that is what you are referring to. Someone can correct me but I think a student ticket costs about $20 - $25 per game. I can't find the price anywhere, but I did find this info on student football tickets outlining the new policy on how to get them this year: Football - Penn State University Official Athletic Site

Student Season tickets were around $175 last year if I remember correctly.

I'm buying tickets if I can get them. Last year they sold out pretty quickly.

Student tickets sold just over $200 last year and they bumped it up a few dollars per ticket this season. You're looking at general admission prices. However, going the route you're thinking is not going to save you anything. The larger games last year like Notre Dame and Ohio State sold close to $300 a ticket on resale. You may end up paying more for one ticket than you would have for the entire season. Your best chance is to try to buy the student season tickets and sell off anything you don't want to go to.

I'd suggest you be on Ticket Master the minute they go on sale too. All 22,000 tickets sold out in just under a minute last year. They made some revisions to the system foe next fall, but nothing thats going to slow the ticket sales down.

correction - just under an hour
