We visited Auburn and UA last weekend and Auburn blew Bama out of the water! My son was accepted to 5 schools and he fell in love with Auburn. We just paid our enrollment deposit. So who else is going, hometown, and major?

We’re from Denver and my son is majoring in aerospace engineering.

Raider25, I was wondering how your AU and UA visits went and am thrilled that Auburn impressed your son. I am sure he will love AU and he will be proud to be an AU graduate for many years to come!

Seems there is an Auburn Club in Denver(RMAC) that awards scholarships to one Colorado student headed to Auburn “Each year, RMAC is committed to donating $275 toward a scholarship for a Colorado resident to attend Auburn. We awarded that last fall to one student, Justin David Dithmer, who is already attending Auburn. In addition to this scholarship, RMAC is working to fund a full academic scholarship for a Colorado resident.”
Seems like they are active for football watching parties, too!

My daughter will be joining my son (currently a junior in P&F Eng) at Auburn this fall. We’re from the Memphis area. She’ll be in COSAM, pre-professional (veterinary medicine). We’ve paid the enrollment and housing deposits, and have been told she has guaranteed on-campus housing.
WAR EAGLE!

kmwjes: Thanks so much! I emailed them to get info about the scholarship. Every little bit helps, especially when going to school out of state. Wish him luck on the scholarship! :-)

TN Mom, congrats on your daughter joining big bro at Auburn. Our tour guide was from Tennessee and he was so happy with Auburn.

Everybody representing Auburn has been so polite and upbeat on the auburn threads. I’ve been on other college threads and people have been very bitter and unprofessional. And then when we went there to visit, we received the same warm welcome. I’m so happy and proud to say my son will be a Tiger!

Hey raider! I’m from SE Alabama. I am enrolling for Fall in chemical engineering. My dad’s from Denver (Estes Park), and he loved it there. War Eagle!

Hey RMSniper! Great to hear that you’ll be enrolling in the fall. We met one of the chemi engineer professors during our tour. He just happened to be walking by and asked our tour guide if he could show us on of the labs. How nice is that? We were just a family on a random tour and the prof turned around, unlocked the lab, and gave us a little information session just because he saw us walking! Seems like the engineering professors are off to a good start! ;-)

We are from Huntsville and my daughter will also be going to Auburn for aerospace engineering. We paid all deposit in October since she didn’t even apply tp any other schools…Auburn was the only place she wanted to attend.

Two of mine will be there next Fall (Business/Liberal Arts) - OOS. I have another (triplets) still waiting on other decisions and basically does not have any that he considers first choice. He would be happy wherever he went he says, but just wants all his options known before he makes a decision.
We also have another child there that should get paid for how she promotes Auburn!
I could not be happier with our experiences…just a special, special place that cannot be duplicated. One of mine said that he knew this weekend after visiting another school that AU was the place for him since he did not feel the friendliness he experienced at AU.

I’m enrolled for the fall! Just signed up for Camp War Eagle. I’m from the Pensacola, FL area and will most likely be majoring in biology (premed).

My son just enrollled for fall 2012. He is pre-pharm. He looked at other colleges, but Auburn was the only one he felt at home from first sight. It had nothing to do with football, it was just the friendly campus. WAR EAGLE !!

I will be attending Auburn University in the Fall. I am from Calabasas, California and I am planning on majoring in Animal Science with a focus in Pre-Vet!

My son will be there this Fall from Georgia. This is a big surprise to us as he was raised to go to Georgia Tech. LOL. We were surprised, but thrilled at his choice. He is an engineering major, but just felt at home at Auburn. We have been taking him to Tech’s campus for years. Auburn does a great job when you visit. We hear going will be a wonderful experience.
