Who's going this weekend?

I am, despite initial thoughts that I wouldn’t be able to make it. Anybody else?

I'm going, as well. I'm taking a red-eye flight to get there Sunday morning, so hopefully I'll be awake enough to get the full experience!

I'll be there :)

Hey guys! Congratulations on the acceptance! I'm Katherine '09. I write for the Bi-College News and this week, I'm doing an article about spec weekend. I'm interested in hearing your opinions about it, positive or negative. Please feel free to comment on anything from the activities to the organization to the food to your overall experience. This article is going to be about whether spec weekend is just a show (do you think you got a realistic glimpse of Bryn Mawr?).

So if you'd like, you can post your comments here, or email me at kfung@brynmawr.edu or IM me at adefinayoumk. Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I absolutely loved the Admitted Students Weekend.

It was everything I thought it was going to be and more. I feel so blessed to be accepted to such an amazing institution. :)

The students had so much school spirit and even people I met on the street were warm and welcoming and had nothing bad to bad to say about the school. Except for the fact that there are so many stairs in front of the gym. :) I absolutely got a first hand glance at how the school is like and how student life is like.

I was leaning towards another school, but this weekend reassured me that Bryn Mawr will be the perfect institution for me. :)

Haha, we did hate the stairs, CA_girl. But it was so nice to meet you and spend time with you!!

My D is just finishing up her sophmore year at Bryn Mawr, and has NEVER regretted her decision to attend. She loves Bryn Mawr with all her heart and has told me more than once that she can't imagine herself anywhere else. One of the things that very much endeared her to BMC from the start was the way that "the Frosh" are virtually cherished by the upperclasswomen. They show a great deal of big-sisterly affection for the first years at BMC and many of the Traditions are geared toward making the frosh feel appreciated and "at home". BMC students in general are very supportive of one another, and VERY non-competitive, a fact which my D appreciates tremendously, because Bryn Mawr is pretty academically intense.
