Who's going to Diversity Hosting?!!!

You should definitely go if possible. I went two years ago and I met some of the people I am still friends with that weekend. Plus if you decide to attend Cornell it’s really cool to talk to them over the summer and start building friendships early.

Another SoCal-er going!! Only I’m doing the CE specific one

does the diversity hosting email go to international students too?
also, is the event program/college specific?

^no internationals. It’s for URMs and females

thank you that’s actually relieving
btw, what does URMs stand for?

URM means under represented majority
Anyways, can someone answer my question?
Did the invitation explicitly say “you will be admitted to the Class of 2016”?

^ Yes.
“This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell University’s Class of 2016.”

Has anyone received an itinerary yet?

^^^I thought that was the case for LLs, URMs and female engineers only…it seemed the diversity hosting letter were sent to a wider range of applicants, and it makes sense. but are there no internationals/canadians who got this letter?

Did you apply to the College of Engineering? Cause mine doesn’t say anything like that ):
I got invited to 3 events and the usual:
“Regardless of which program students attend, it is our pleasure to offer these opportunities for you to visit us in April. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus in the hope that you will decide to join the Cornell community!”

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences. Sorry, I do not know much about what’s going on the engineering front regarding this.
Are you going to both Cornell Days and Diversity Hosting?

I’m probably just going to go to Cornell Days. Not sure if I want to stay overnight at Cornell :x It would require bring a lot of unnecessary things just to stay for one night

I signed up too! I sent in all my papers! Now I’m just waiting for an itinerary. Cornell is my DREAM school. Yay! Has anyone else received their itineraries yet???

I have not receied my itinerary. I have a feeling that they’re waiting for Thursday because decisions come out and it just seems appropriate. Either way I’m excited!

Hello guys,

I also received a likely letter from Cornell. However, when I logged on to their website for the decision, it had a countdown like 1 day 19 hours 20 minutes…and so on and so on. But, another person who received a likely letter said she got a message saying “the wait is over”

can someone who got a likely letter log in and tell me if they see the “you’re in” or the countdown? please? I would really appreciate it. i’m scared that my likely letter does not mean i’m accepted. by the way, i did get the email, letter, and more things, yet i’m scared.

thank you. i really appreciate it, and I hope to see some of you this April. ;D

please let me know what you see as you log in.

Nope, I’m for sure in and there is still a countdown.

thanks. such a relief.

Just got my itinerary! Yay… Going on the 19th and 20th :)
