<p>I jus finished signing up - air fare prices are rising everyday, so I thought i'd give a heads up for EA ppl. esp cuz we're lazy... second semester seniors? :P</p>
<p>I'm excited already, it's been years since I've been to Cali, and will be first time to Tech. :]</p>

<p>I'm going, I'm going! I just filled out the registration form and will mail it tomorrow. I've seen the campus several times by air (Beckman Auditorium is basically impossible to miss from a low altitude ;)), but I haven't visited yet. I'll probably also visit in a week or two, because I'm leaving the country the day after prefrosh weekend, and won't be back until after May 1. </p>

<p>to dancinchik: i believe it's free housing etc- you just have to provide your own transportation there and back.</p>

<p>hmmm... i hate how nearly every college has the visiting weekend at the same time! i was accepted at caltech (yay!!!) but i also want to visit other schools... is it a huge mistake not to go?</p>

Hard to answer your Q without knowing if you've visited Caltech before. I would think that your decision will be between a few colleges, and a visit will help you decide. Not everyone can make the prefrosh weekend, but if you are serious abt Caltech, then see if you can visit another time during April. Schools try hard to not overlap, but sometimes cann't be helped.</p>
<p>i've never visited caltech. i wasnt even going to apply, except my mom had her heart set on it. i have visited yale and i loved it, but i think the prefrosh weekends overlap. of course, this is assuming i even get accepted to yale ... ah, what a lovely thought...</p>
<p>there are just too many colleges for there not to be some overlap, and as was mentioned before, april 17-23 is spring break for a lot of hs students...</p>
