i'm going, see ya there

Hey, any advice on getting tickets at a normal price, it is less than 2 weeks away.

As am I, and I can't wait! Maybe the visit will help me decide between Amherst and Dartmouth....who knows, the pizza at Antonio's could help too :) People should definitely find time for pizza on the 17th, for as much as I love Amherst, I must admit that the food at Valentine is terrible, just terrible, and best be avoided. Plus, the hall is only open until 7 pm, so if you want to snack late at night, leaving campus stands as the only option. Student govt is trying to change things around, but I doubt that the administration will budge.

Nickleby, where are you traveling from?

There's a bus station right in town, with Peter Pan coaches that connect to Boston, Springfield, Hartford, and New York City. I've taken them before, while visiting a friend at the college, and they seem to be quite comfortable. If you need to fly in, there is Bradley International Airport in Hartford, as well as Worcester International and Boston International in Mass. For such last minute tickets, probably use Expedia for air, and the Greyhound website for bus, as Greyhound has a partnership with Peter Pan, so that's where you go for Peter Pan tickets.

i'm going, i can't wait to see Amherst again

Not to get into specifics, but near the west coast from a relatively small airport with maybe 20 flights out a day.

im going. im pretty close so im just driving

my D is going, planning to arrive Saturday evening and staying through the end of the program on Monday. we're coming from NC.

I'm comin! From near Seattle.

I'm going. It'll be my second time visiting, and hopefully it'll be better than my first. My parents having been strongly hinting that Amherst is their preference. we'll see.

Um, I forgot to RSVP by April 8th (today). Will they still let me go, or will they be sticklers and be like, "NOOO! We reject you now!"

try and call tomorrow or something. you won't find out unless you try.

hm, i have a question of my own. what should i bring with me to the overnight? just sleeping bag, pillow, my clothes/etc, and myself?

Ditto, I was wondering the same thing. I'm flying (as I suppose you are also), so less i better.

Hey, everyone check out the amherst group (link is in my profile), and when you go to alumni dinners/open house, it would be GREAT if you told kids to Google "Amherst 2009". I'd love you forever.
