Who's NOT applying online?

I thought I was going to be bogged down with a hundred different supplemental essays and whatnot, but it doesn't look too bad... much easier typing them all in online then sending them through mail, I personally think... :)

Who's doing it all out by hand? And why? o_O I'm just curious, I'm wondering if there any cons to applying online (since many of my friends seem to all be doing it by hand...)

It's easier for the colleges and for the applicant to do it online. Besides, most of the stuff you have to hand write on a paper app (personal information, scores, etc.) is recorded by someone in the admissions office and put onto a computer before the adcom sees it.

I applied to Upitt not online, because if I did I would have to pay the application fee.

I'll apply everywhere online unless it oppurtunity re-presents itself.

i will probably do most by hand because i like to see everything and i feel more comfortable doing that way. Plus, i have a couple athletic applications that i want to get in the right hands.

It is easier to correct mistakes on a online application.. it's not permanent until you send it in. Also, applications online can have a reduced/free fee. But the main reason is because it makes it easier on the adcoms, and I want to be on their good side as much as possible. So IMHO, making things even just a little easier on them, is a plus.

The only problem I have about applying online is ruining the format of the activities sheet when I paste it in.

Would anyone be willing to share how to structure it for online submission (right now, mine's in table form, but that obviously won't work)?

I'm applying with paper applications simply because it'll be easier to organize myself. For the UC app though, I think I'll be applying online (their paper application is a ***** to fill out).
