<p>I'm surprised to see no waitlist thread here. I heard that Carleton often mass-waitlist applicants. So i was wondering if anybody checking this board is on the waitlist at Carl like me and do you know when the decisions will come out?</p>
<p>I don't think Carleton mass waitlists applicants. They did not take a single student from the waitlists for the classes of 2007 or 2008. There are approximately 490 students in the class of 2008 and it is considered over enrolled. And for the class of 2009, my D was told there were 540 coming, so that's SERIOUSLY over enrolled! Carleton sent a out a letter last year around mid-May to those on the waitlist to inform them that they would not be going to the list.</p>
<p>My S rec'd letter saying class was now full, however there may be a spot or two still available pending any Carleton acceptees coming off waitlists to other schools and they may withdraw their enrollment. He's been given to May 25 to stay on the what I would now assume is a smaller waitlist.</p>
