Alright, time for discussion! Who is applying early to an American school? Personally I think it'll be good to just get it over with..if you are accepted, you are set.

So anyone?

So anyone?

If you know what you want, then it absolutely helps.

Gonna shoot for Columbia ED =]

NYU Stern ED… pray for me

Wharton ED… already signed the ED agreement so there’s no holding back now…

yo, a q. for all of you ED’ers. Have any of you visited the schools you plan to ED? Do to consider visiting to be an important aspect?

I wish I could…but I can’t -sigh- Heck I don’t even have visa to go lol. I’m been watching the U videos and read websites x.x

^ haha second that =]

No, but I’m just going to safely assume that my ED school is better than UBC :P

^Exactly what I was thinking…my ED school would most likely be better than ivey or schulich…The only problem with me applying ED is that so many teachers transferred this year…even my counsellor! Need to build that “relationship” within 1 month time! O.O

^ One of my friends faced that problem when he applied to US colleges last year. And he solved the problem by letting his current counselor fill out the forms and schools report and letting his former counselor (who had known him for 3 years) write the recommendation. I don’t think that had any negative impact on his app as he got into HYP .(yes, all three of them)

Duke Trinity ED.

^^I don’t think the letter will be a big difference, just worried that the new teacher won’t know my school that well (a LOT more competitive than other public HS, etc). I don’t think counsellor recs are that important though, right?

My sister is doing Dartmouth ED, I applied Columbia ED and got in

Congrats Powa! Have you been enjoying Columbia? (btw r u keeping contact with your Canadian friends?)

@konig NYU ? So your not looking for financial AID ? if your canadian and non us citizen, then i dont think they give financial aid.

mathematicism, did you submit your ED agreement online or by paper?

^ I submitted it online

^Did you get your counselor to submit it online also? I ask because after I submitted my portion and my parent’s portion of the ED agreement online, I found out that my counselor wants to do his by paper.

Do you think it would be okay for me to submit another ED agreement by paper, even if I’ve already submitted my portion online?

^ My counselor is currently working on my school report as well as the ED agreement. I don’t think there’ll be an issue with the format of the document as she has filed many agreements for her previous students online.

I’m actually not sure whether you’re allowed to do it or not… but emailing the admission office wouldn’t hurt. =)

whats the last date for me to submit my ed agreement to cornell engineering?
