dude these procters couldnt give a sh it do u think all they will be doing for 4 hours is staring at kids making sure that no one does this.....of course not they will probably be reading a book or something and well never suspect anything

dan -- that's not the point.

The point of this is to find a loophole to perform this procedure within the bounds of the rules...so that when a proctor raises suspicious against you and threatens to invalidate your test, you may proudly rise up and defy his/her accusations and declare your ingenious use of an obscure loophole to your advantage. Although afterwards the proctor may still strike you down for cheating, you will yet leave the testing place knowing that principle and justice were on your side.

dan112931...
it's not "pussy" for people to actually take these tests without cheating...it actually takes a lot more "balls" (loving these sexist phrases) to take the test without using a dictionary because you're relying on your knowledge instead of a calculator.

i never knew that the basis of morality was scouring a system designed for fairness for loopholes! oh glorious revelation! was i ever educated! dualityim, thank you for making my day with the funniest thing i have possibly ever come across.

Then my work here is done. I bid thee adieu.

thank you.

Actually, it's against the rules to remove any part of the test book (you return the ENTIRE test book at the conclusion of the exam). You are also expressly forbidden from working on any other section, including erasing or bubbling in answers on the answer sheet, on the exam. There are no loopholes.

i go to a class by the guy who wrote the barrons book..i think im gonna do pretty well

I'm taking the big, bad SAT on Sat., but before I can get that over with I have two BIG exams tomorrow, both in AP classes. I hate this overloaded feeling. My teachers absolutely refuse to give you a break the week before a standarized test date, in fact I sometimes think they go out of their way to schedule tests for that week. They keep telling us that what you learn in school is more important than a standarized test. I agree with them in principle, but I'm not sure that real-life college admissions works that way.

Same here. I've had final exams this week because we operate on a 9 week semester basis and then switch classes in 18 weeks.

I haven't done anything to prepare, but hey, I'm only a sophomore. This is just to get a taste of the test.

Okay a sophmore here who is totally freaking out! I have less than 24 hours minus the time I go to sleep which hopefully 8 hours OMG y am I even on the computer I should be studying! sorry getting a little delirious I really should'n be freaking out though should I? I still have like 2 more chances to do better right? oh well now that I ranted a little I'll go back to studying good luck everyone

Wow, it's March 11th, I didn't notice that little detail today. I'm taking the friggin SAT tomorrow, aaah.

The thought of spending 4 hours filling in little bubbles scares me.........It's very possible one could lose their sanity this way

Hopefully, we will all be able to come out of the tesing room alive and kicking.....

After taking the test, I plan on taking a good, long nap to make up for the stress this has put me through.....

Sleep well, and good luck tomorrow everyone;)

hmm.. i have a grammar question. what is the difference between that and which?

I'm taking it tomorrow, but I have a sinus infection. Woohoo. I just hope that my score doesn't go down and I do better next time around.

Dude, horse raddish, eat like half a spoonful of horse raddish. My nose was horribly plugged up one day when I always had sinus infections in 6th grade. We were eating the Jewish Seder meal to learn about the food and culture, and there was horse raddish. My nose was completely clear afterwards.

So-TXMathwhiz, are you going to weigh in on what you thought of the test?
