Just like the title says....any recommendations? Easiest, most effective, etc?

Preda if he is teaching it, i didn't have valdimarsson, Khitrik is pretty cool professor too

Jenkins, if he teaches. Period.

Definitely Jenkins for first quarter. Even though the curve may seem ridiculously high (and he's fond of giving lots of homework problems) he was the best lecturer for my fall quarter. Quick, efficient, and very nice during office hours. Not to mention a relatively easy grader.

I had Khitrik for 31B, he was pretty good.

I loved Hitrik :D

Just to throw my two cents like I do every time anyone mentions math professors: avoid Biskup in ANY math class. I didn't personally take him but my roomie did and it was a nightmare for her. Others on this forum can attest to this.

the professors who are teaching math 31B are Houdayer, Valdimarsson, and Aschenbrenner.

as none of these are listed on Bruinwalk, does anyone have any input or recommendations?

don't take Valdimarsson if you can, his lectures are pretty boring, homework he only assigns even numbers so we don't have a clue on whether we are doing them right or wrong, does only the problems in the book and puts all the hard stuff on the tests...

OK.... So not Valdimarsson. Anybody have any thoughts on Houdayer or Aschenbrenner? I'm trying to get my scheduling thoughts together before orientation 102 next week.

which one fits better into your schedule, try to avoid 8 or 9 am classes because early classes suck lol math department gets a lot of new professors every quarter and I never seen those two names from last year's professors so there is a decent chance that no one here has taken their classes... but I mean it is 31B how hard can it get? lol

no valdimarsson, ok! :)

lol it's hard for those who are not good at math AND hate math...like me

man i have orientation 103 hope i get the right prof...
