Know someone with lots of ECS/ great GPA/Nat’l Merit/great candidate who applied EA and did not get in this past year-- shock to everyone! Be careful!

what are the chances of two kids from the same school getting accepted (a small public school that has never sent a kid to stanford)

Depends how strong both candidates are.

lists like this are so useless

@absolut3: It won’t hurt either candidate unless they decide to reject the one with “better” grades and scores, then they might waitlist instead of outright reject.

some people might say that comments like this are useless…

oh…
sorry?

“Stanny”? Really? I get annoyed enough when people refer to my school as just “S”, but I think “Stanny” is worse.

wait
i dont even understand what the big deal is
just shut up already

if one kid is the perfect applicant and the other is in the stanford range, what are the chances of the “stanford range” applicant

@ absolut3:

…huh?

Who calls it Stanny? If you get in, you must never ever call it that.

“Who calls it Stanny? If you get in, you must never ever call it that.”

and when you visit San Francisco, don’t call it Frisco.

OKAYYYYY
god there’s no need to be rude about it

Just sayin’ … folks around here get touchy about nicknames. “Land of the fruits and nuts” and all.

DS is applying EA to Stanford. We figure if you look as good now as you will mid-year, early is the way to go. Could easily argue for RD though…

Wouldn’t you rather hear it here, then say Stanny to someone in person? Anyway, good luck!! Its a great school in a great area!!!

I’ve never heard anyone call it Stanny. But to get back on topic, even though Stanford is my number 1 school, I’m gonna wait till RD to apply so I can make my application better. I’m applying to UChicago and a safety EA.
