<p>I don't think it is. One son did pay the fee and do it. But I really would save your money if I were you. If you have already spent the money and have the award? go ahead and put it down on the ap. It's not a REAL selective award though, I'm sure there are others that look better to colleges. Can't hurt letting them know though I don't think it will get you anywhere, jmo.</p>
