So i've heard that the "who's who of American Highschoolers" thing is a scam, which doesnt particularly surprise me. I figured that i'd sign up for it the times i've gotten the letters for it because it was free to do, so why not? Now i hear that if you put it on resumes for colleges, they will hold it against you since its a scam. Does anyone know if this is true? I thought it could only be a real scam if they charged money for it. I didn't pay anything, so i figured it didn't make any difference whether it was real or not, but now i'm worried. Does anyone know if colleges are going to look down on me for signing up for this who's who thing?

leave it out.

do they send that thing to everyone....like do complete idiots with like 2.0 or so GPAs get that?

I don't think they'll think anything bad about it. I think they skim your application and then highilite your good aspects. So they won't really pay attention to that.

i dunno, do you know any complete idiots that have gotten it?

Most people now know not to put it on their application. But won't that make you unique and stand out since no one else will have it?!?! PUT IT!!!!

it'd make you look stupid perhaps. i suppose stupid people are unique. but if you seriously feel a need to put it, do so at the very end of the list.

just put it and all the other scam-o-rific ones as one achievement.

Attracting them is a good achievement, no?

leave it off
