I have to send my optional essay to Princeton ASAP (i.e. the end of the week). My problem is 2-fold:

Shoud I send in my essay that I had written that goes more into detail what my goals are and why I chose Princeton or an essay I had written for another college that I think is decent but has nothing to do with Princeton or my love for it.

If I send in my custom-built essay for Princeton, what I should edit (its kinda lengthy- over a page long).

If any of you Princeton regulars (You know who you are) are willing to read these essays and critique them, and help me make a decision for which one to send in, I would be extremely grateful.

I'll read them over for you if you want - feel free to PM me them.

FYI, I'm not sending in my supplements until Monday, which is the 31st, although I am expressing them. I would rather have the weekend to put final touches on them than rush to get them done by Friday - I don't think they'll throw them away if they arrive (gasp) on Feb. 2...

first or second choice would be better than the last one. (unless the last one is absolutely wonderful) anyway, just send an essay that's really appealing; i think a topic itself is less important.

i think you should edit(even though i havent read yours). make it concise yet lovely!

pm me. i'll be comfortable w/ reading it bc i didn't apply ed to princeton, and therefore don't have my own princeton deferral reversal letter to worry about. :)
good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The deferral letter said they wanted supplements around the end of January (although no specific date was given). It did not, however, provide a reason why they needed supplements so soon; although perhaps this is so that, come March, everything is filed and ready for review?
