My DS just took it for the first time and didn't finish by 5-10 questions on the math, reading and science sections. He has had a tutor for the last 6 weeks. He feels confident about the English and writing sections but has no clue on the other sections. Since he had had tutoring we are wondering if he should go ahead and sign up for the October test. That way it is fresh in his mind on what he needs to do different. He had decided on not taking the writing again since his colleges don't really use it. Who else is in the same boat?

90% sure I will. I really messed up bad on this last ACT and probably didn’t score the 34-35 I wanted to get (probably got a 32-33). Really sucks since I was scoring a 34-35 in all my practice tests (real tests from the past few years, not the Red Book). So if I didn’t get a 34-35, I will be retaking and I believe I’m already signed up since I sent in accomodation forms for the sept. test but sent them in too late so they auto signed me up for October too. If I get the 34-35, I’ll cancel the Oct. test.
