PS i sent both of them to the schls

Are you the one who said that other chancer sucks his dad?

In that case, sorry, schools will find you extremely undesirable. And… why would you send in your first SSAT results…

Your chances are around that of the Congress and the US making an ammendment in the federal constitution to put George Bush back as not only as head of country, but also as that of 100% of America voting for his dictatorship.

You have consistently posted in others thread, people who have credentials much greater than yourself, and told them rude things. The one that blatantly comes to mind is “No cuz you suck your dad”, above and beyond that you have asked for chances numerous times.

So here is your ranking: 3

Why did I even give you a two? I gave you a two because the admissions officers will most likely NOT SEE the rude posts you have made on CC (though you may have said that to the interviewer in which case the whole thing is pointless…).

They will superscore your SSAT thus giving you a longshot chance.

You have a good chance at pretty much all those schools, just try not to post on other people’s chances like you did on mine. Being from Jamaica will help distinguish you from the pool of applicants. Your SSAT’s are pretty good as well, and I don’t think they will take your first score too heavily after showing that you can do better. Hopefully you did not tell your interviewer he sucks his dad, because that might just get you rejected.

your ssat is a low for some of the schools, and regarding your posts, you seem a little immature.
i’d give you a 4
sorry that some of us have to be negative, but frankly, you’ve been pretty rude on the forums

You made significant improvements!! Thats always good

Benevolent, not even an 80 is common at these schools, let alone a 66 OR a superscore of the two. I’m sure he appreciates your positivity though.

80 is very common among the schools, among acceptances it is not. If even 70% of the applicants have scores above 80 on SSAT the acceptance rate would be lower, a lot lower. Assuming each batch of admits keeps the same average SSAT (around 90 for HADES) half the guys had more than 90 (there really isn’t THAT much of an outlier) and half had less. Assuming SSAT is the only thing they look at (which it is not) and the top 60% of SSAT takers apply to Exeter you will be redistributing your SSAT among that set of people putting your percentile around the 70s.

So to be concise they see a lot of those scores BUT if it is solely SSAT they will be rejected. Again there are many more factors.

Because of that I give you a three, in all honesty the average Exeter applicant will have a 2/10 (acceptance rate) and I think you are level with the Average EXETER EXETER (average exeter is good) applicant but the FA thing is good.

This kid is not average Exeter. Sorry. You gave him a 3, so I, personally, would multiply 3/10 by 2/10 to get 3/50. I’d give him a 6% chance, although I guess stranger things have happened than this kid getting accepted at Exeter.

Average Exeter APPLICANT. Def. not average Exeter student.

Its funny how you people judge him based on this forum. You obviously do not know the stats for SPS or Deer field, the average SSAT score for who applied was around the 80% area(its in your packet SPS gave you)

He might have some other ECs that he did not share to protect his identity. The bottom line is you do not know him therefore you should not judge him.

I might as well say that principalviola or ringtingting is a very mediocre student at best because he said some comment over the internet like “suck your dad” , but I have no justification to say this thus making my comment a reflection of my character; rude, impuslive, and immature. <– Hypothetically speaking not me.

Im sure you’re all nice people though :)

Average applicant is 80. EXACTLY what I said. Except I came to that conclusion without packets or anything, just statistics and logic. So it could be inaccurate.

OK, GUYS, I thought we were comparing him to average ACCEPTED applicants… What the hell is the point of comparing him to average applicants? That’s not chancing.

TIGER, as for judging him, HE ASKED TO BE JUDGED. THAT’S WHY HE POSTED A CHANCES THREAD.

Sorry to interrupt you guys, im new here,

I just received my ssat scores and I am not satisfied with the results. However, I have no choice but to send it to the schools i’m applying for since its pretty late. I really don’t know if I can get accepted to the schools I want.

My scores are: Math 710, Verbal 716, Reading 596,

The schools im applying to are: Mercersburg academy, loomis chaffee, cheshire academy, culver academies, valley forge military academy, and peddie school.

Can someone tell me if these scores are sufficient enough?

People are more likely to respond to you if, rather than hijacking someone else’s chances thread, you post your own. Click on the “prep school chances” link at the top of the page and then click on the “new thread” button.

You’re judging him based on his immature comments on other people’s chance threads which IMO is not right.
and yes 80% is for the ACCEPTED applicant

The average person at St. Pauls has an 80% ssat???

Sorry about that! Forgive me. By the way, good luck to all of you applying.

No no no, it’s fine, don’t worry. I just get a little testy sometimes.

Thanks!

Principleviola and TIGER: then why send in a friggin’ 66 as well as an 80?

Thats what i said… GAH i hate this 60 sec wait period…
