yeah does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

Princeton review, but if you're up to it and have time, and also want to test yourself with hard questions, Barron's

PR is sufficient though

^yeapppppppppppppppppp

is this the book?

or should i also buy Amazon.com: SAT Subject Test in Chemistry (Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT): Books: Joseph S. Mascetta

i really need a good score...and i have to review alot of topics in depth because i took it last year....is it true princeton review has easier tests than the actual one?

1st one. Self studied four chapters (weren't covered in class) and went through whole book from wed-fri week of the test and got 770

Depends on how much time you've got to study.. If you've got around a month or more I'd definitely recommend Barron's over PR. Although it is a bit excessive, studying it thoroughly should get you atleast 750+.

yeah both books are correct (the links)

iderno..but if you have the time and motivation, i'd strongly recommend doing both. i just felt that PR had some stuff Barrons lacked (yeah i know, SHOCKER :O), and vise-versa. and the plus? more practice tests! (LOL GREAT....)

I loved the Princeton Review one.

of course princeton review is definately a great book to prepare sat2 chem but it alone is not ENOUGH. here's my recommendation: 1. look through princetonreview book once throughly 2. look through princetonreview book again(i realized rather than studying several books you learn more when you study the book you already did once again --esp for chem cuz you've gotta understand the principles) and 3. look BARRONS --Barrons is helpful for perfecting yourself, and if you wanna score higher, i strongly recommend Barrons book :D

I'm going to be using both. I've got five months (early planner eh).

My school library carries the Princeton Review title, so I'll look that one up there and as for the Barron's book I guess I'll just go buy it. How should I divide my five months up? I'm also doing it simul with my AP Chemistry preperations so I'm guessing some topics will clash.

don't use Kaplan, it sucks.

What about the McGraw-Hill book?

hehe. i could tell kaplan sucks. someone was passing it away new copy for 5 bucks so i bought it for practice. lots of mistakes around in that one.

mgh is decent. not your primary book though. barron's is still the sure-fire way to go.

Diana Oh,

I'm taking Honnor Chem in junior year now and plan to study from Baron Chem book. Is it sufficient to take Subj 2 Chem without AP Chem materials?

Thanks

same with me

i have the Barron's book for Chemistry. I thought that barron's was the best for chem, but now people are saying PR...so i don't know.
