Why 10 sections?

Sometimes I wish that the SAT was like the ACT in that you had 70 minutes to do 54 math questions. Same format would follow in that you would have the hardest at the end and the easiest in the beginning with a mix of grid ins.

CR then may be a problem in that having 19 SC followed by passages would be hard because people would find it exhausting to do so many passages in a row, and you could easily get stuck on a couple of hard questions on one passage since you can't have hard questions at the end of a passage. What do you think? Would having all 3 parts in one section be good, especially for math?

Maybe. It might nake it easier once your in a "math mindset", lol. But I'm not a math person, so it's nice that halfway through a section, I can say, "ok, only 10 more problems". Somehow "ok, only 27 more problems" isn't as comforting.

*make, not nake lol

SAT is designed to torture you.
and steal your money.

thats why there's 10 sections.

It's as if the ACT is more friendly. The logic is much more user friendly. You become so confident as you breeze through the first math section. Still, the only bad thing about it is that how you do on all 4 sections affects that one composite score. You could get a 36 one one section, but colleges wouldn't see that.

it's the SAT...basically it's meant to be a drag

anhtimmy: amen to that lol...and yeah the sats made to screw you over (people tend to get tired at the end and do worse)
