Why a D+ for weather?

I notice in one of the large student review books the weather at IU got a D+. Surely there must be some nice weather in early fall and spring, right? Isn't there just those winter months where it's not so great? Why such a low review overall? Also, I thought I read where it rains pretty much all year. Is that true ?

Even i noticed the D+ on college Prow~ler and wanted some clarification. Though I hear the weather is really amazing fall .

I think the weather is better than the Chicago area. Fall lasts longer and spring comes earlier. (Not technically, but it feels that way.) : )

I’m from Boston, so I am used to LONG and frigid winters. It hasn’t been bad so far. The fall is absolutely stunning, way better than any New England fall I’ve ever seen. It’s gotten really cold, but it never lasts very long. It was even in the low 50’s this past weekend, but it’s now about 20 and snowing.

Well, I guess it’s all relative. We live in a mild, Mediterranean, coastal climate so anything out in the Midwest or back East will be more extreme both in the winter and summer. Of course, I understand Bloomington is milder than other areas. We have most of our rain in the winter and this January proves it! It’s been very wet. (But we also have our draughts. Last January we were out sunbathing and had to ration water all summer through October.) It never rains in the summer. Or if so, maybe a drop or two, rarely. No humidity. But, we have our “marine layer” (fog) that usually burns off by noon. We have our warmest and mildest weather in early Fall. Just gorgeous. All the summer tourists go home and we enjoy lots of street festivals and fairs. And, the beach is nice, too.
