Why am I still seeing the housing charges I owe for UCR if I withdrew from there!?

I’m in a community college as of now but I was at a UC for a quarter but the UC is stating housing charges that I owe but why do I have to pay for housing if I withdrew from the school and cancelled my contract? Do I have to pay or only if I decide to go back?

I would like to know

Please I need to know

I don’t have to pay right because I withdrew from the school a while back

Call them and get it sorted out. Maybe you didn’t withdraw early enough.

bodangles thanks but do I have to pay or only if I decide to come back to the university?

CALL THEM. If you get wrong information from someone who’s not representing the university, you could be really screwed over. Don’t ignore any charges and pretend they don’t exist, because people aren’t just going to forget about money they think you owe them. Figure out why those fees are still happening and whether you have to pay them by asking the university.

^^ Correct. You cannot just walk away from a debt. If it’s not a proper charge, you need to talk to the school and get it straightened out.

My account is delinquent and will Prevent registration but the thing is that I won’t go back there I moved to a different school now

It will probably still show up on your credit report at some point unless you take care of it. Your choice.

You should really listen to what these people are saying. They told you exactly what you need to know. None of us are admissions officers.
