<p>Macs don't crash, very few virus attack it--and none on a large scale. They have much better support for graphics stuff. In general they work better than PC's except for games. Bill Gates is a good guy( very generous) but Apple is a large donor to the democratic party (lol--you might think this is a negative, depending on your personal beliefs); they are well respected in the science community (~30% of scientists at NASA use them, although admittedly 70% obviously do not). Many technologies have been popularized on the mac (USB wasn't big 'til the iMac, nor was FireWire), they were the first major company to include optical mice on all their computers, etc.)
Finally, my iMac is a pleasure to use. The filesystem is fun to explore, and you can take the oppurtunity to learn UNIX and howto use FTP and SSL and use putty (on the PC) to remotly log in. Most macs now opperate with 64-bit processors. In many processes this will provide a speed bump. The architecture of the mac is much more efficient, and because Apple releases both the computers and the OS they work together seamlessly. iLife is a very nice application suite as you have probobly seen in iTunes. Mac: iPod :: PC: Creative Nomad (in other words the Mac is an elagant solution and if you give it a chance it will justify the price). In 5 years I have had one problem EVER with the mac, and I've saved money on antivirus software. :)</p>

<p>Mac's are prettier! they come in neat colors. I wish they would blend the best of each system though, because then we wouldn't have to part ways</p>
