Why are AP score reports not as elaborate or comprehensive as SAT score reports?

<p>Why are AP score reports not as elaborate or comprehensive as SAT score reports? What's so bad about including our MC and essay scores?</p>

<p>I dont know the answer, but have a question along the same lines. Why do some colleges want the SAT Subject tests if you have already taken the AP test in that subject. Are the tests so different?</p>

<p>bcos the ‘grade’ is based on total points, not sub-totals.</p>

<p>gluckie: officially, AP scores are not used for admission purposes – since many high schools do not have access to them. Subject Tests are used for admissions, since every high school has access, or they are offered in the local community somewhere.</p>
