Well, there were actually more libertarians than I thought there'd be at this site.

Though I don't know, maybe it, too, is a passing phase.

I'd consider myself one, definitely.

Yeah I'm definitely into libertarianism. OMG who would say no to 0% income taxes AT ALL BRACKETS? Or something very close to 0%?

Of course some people still believe that income taxes ACTUALLY GO INTO DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. If they're doing something productive, then why are we taxed for buying stuff, gas, social security, property, estates, and whatever else?

No really. Think about it.

Pff, Libertarians... Generally, they're just hipster conservatives who are afraid of looking too square.

Why am I liberal?

..um, because I prefer to have a heart.

Because they are gaining more sense and tolerance. that's why they're liberal.

I don't like it when liberals act like they are the only people who have a heart.

I'm pretty hard-core conservative, but I'm still giving and generous (maybe not with my money, because well...there's not much of that). But, the point is, I love helping people and being involved with them. What I don't like is seeing all my money going to the government and being used inefficiently. My parents are both Republicans and we are well off, but they have always given considerable donations to groups that help people in poverty and also in foreign countries. The point is, they choose where to send those donations and that money, not the government.

I prefer equipping people for a better future than just giving them a few dollars (the whole "fish" parable). I'd rather help a student in school NOW so they can graduate and get a better job, than have to pay welfare for them later.

I earned my money, I should decide how to use it. I also love when people say the "rich" didn't earn it, sure I bet some people didn't, but I know my dad has started two of his own businesses and has been successful, not because he was born into money (which he wasn't), but because of hardwork and effort that he puts into it.

I just got my W-2 in the mail the other day and was noticing how a little less than 10% of my check was going to Social Security. If we are supposed to save 10% of our money, why doesn't the govt just let us keep it and save it for later? Oh, that's right, because I'm an incompetent fool who can't think about the future, I need Uncle Sam to do it for me.

Just my thoughts.

Well, I think after seeing the war in Iraq, people are shifting more to the left.

Who would support Bush after witnessing the stink bomb he dropped in Iraq?

Well, I think the war itself is stupid, but I side more with Bush that we can't pull out now.

"Well, I think the war itself is stupid, but I side more with Bush that we can't pull out now."

I think we can pull out, but not in a hurry as the Democrats seem to think. Bush obviously f***ed up his Iraq plan, so the best thing to do is to get the hell out of there IMO. However, this removal must be done carefully and cautiously, not all at once as many Dems are suggesting.
