Why are some people on this forum so negative when it comes to evaluations?

<p>I think this post is important because it gives people a better perspective of college admissions. Those who are discouraged might feel better after reading it and get what they want</p>

<p>I think actually chancing someone is a shot in the dark. There are too many variables to give a really accurate answer. Which is why I tend to think it is a waste of time to ask. But if it reduces stress, then there is a benefit to the individual. </p>

<p>Statistically, probably being negative is being realistic given most of the schools being asked to be "chanced". In some ways it is better than giving the individual false hope, which would be crushed latter with a rejection.</p>
