I was wondering why, for math classes 31A and 31B (and maybe others; I didn't check), around one or two of the discussions were closed for each lecture, with 0 enrollment. The lectures themselves have more space than the currently open discussions add up to. Are the closed ones for the students who have to take the math diagnostic test the 20th of September so that they can still have space once they've been placed into a math class?

so that people in the later orientation sessions could sign up for them

Do you know if they’ll save some for those who take the placement test September 20th and enroll then?

Hahahah, I was gonna say budget cuts. Seen it happen before.
