Hi, I applied to UF as a transfer student earlier this month. I checked my status and now it says that I have to submit transcripts for both my high school and my community college. I thought they would only ask for HS transcript if I had completed the foreign language requirement in high school, which I didn't. I took the CLEP for Spanish and got the credits back in November.
The main reason I don't want to submit my HS transcript is because I went to HS in a foreign country, so I would need to do a credit evaluation which is not so cheap. Don't get me wrong, is just that I don't want to spend extra money if they really don't need to see my HS transcript.
If someone knows the link to the UF website that states that they ONLY require HS transcripts if foreign language req. was met during high school, please post it here, I'll appreciate it.

Looks like ALL applicants must submit high school transcripts. Call the office of admissions and make sure that’s the case for an international student. 352-392-1365

I’m a little late here, but when I applied as a transfer, I tried twice to send HS transcripts electronically (I went to a FL HS). They didn’t go through either time. I talked to someone at admissions and was told that if I didn’t do my foreign language credits in high school, they didn’t need the transcripts. The next day my application showed that I wasn’t missing anything. I was accepting and am now attending, and they still don’t have my HS transcripts. Call admissions if you haven’t already.

Thanks Gator88NE, actually I’m not an international student. I am a FL resident, I just moved to FL after graduating high school in my country. I will call admissions, thanks!

Agmama, hi! if this is true, that would save me so much time but I was wondering, did you tell them that you didn’t do the foreign language in H.S? or did they mention it to you?
Im gonna give them a call, but I was thinking that maybe I should them that I dont have my transcripts here in the US, or that my community college kept the only one I brought with me what do you suggest? And also, are the admissions officers able to change your status the instant you call them if they decide that you do not need the documents requested?

Thanks! :)

Guys!! I just called admissions and explained that I didn’t do the foreign language in HS, that instead I took the CLEP…and they removed it!!! yay! they no longer require my HS transcript!! Thanks! :)

WOOT! Great :D/

Glad to hear it! I called because my high school transcripts didn’t show up after 2 attempts to send them. I told the guy on the phone that and he told me they didn’t need them unless I did my foreign language in HS. Glad it worked out for you!
