I am kinda flipping out,

I emailed my admissions officer once before about how I have taken AP exams but only received three's on them and the school doesn't accept three's for credit. I asked if they still needed the scores. I also asked if they wanted to review my community college transcripts even though I am an out of stater. I received a response like three days later.

Recently, my counselor couldn't get the common app's link in her email for some reason and needed to opt out of the electronic submission of her forms. So I emailed my admissions officer again to ask if she minded that I submit the hard copies instead even though on the common app it doesn't say that she is an offline provider. SHE HASN'T RETURNED MY EMAIL SINCE! I emailed on the 23!!!

Is she sick of me? Should I just wait some more? My counselor said she is just going to submit the hard copies but I just can't stop thinking that no correspondence is their way of saying "Get Lost."

ok, so you asked the adcom a dumb question b/c obviously you can send in hard copies if they are available, and esp. b/c the link doesn’t work…so the adcom figured you prolly figured out that was your only option or that you would contact tech support

chill, you’re fine!

Why don’t you just call and ask? Admissions officers are flooded with e-mails, so it can take them a long time to get to yours. Your questions also may be answered on the school’ website.

Conner, you wouldn’t BELIEVE how much email college officials receive. Don’t take it personally that you haven’t received a reply. The person you emailed could be out sick, on vacation, or just busy.

The answer to your question is that it’s perfectly fine to send the forms by mail. Don’t freak out when commonapp.org continues to tell you that the School Forms are incomplete (geek_son’s School Forms section is incomplete on commonapp.org, and he was admitted to his ED choice in December). commonapp.org has served its purpose for you; now it’s between you and the college.

My D’s school submitted everything by hard copy and most of her schools are showing her documents as complete on their status page. I wouldn’t worry about it and just check the college’s application status page if they have one in a few weeks to verify they have received your documents.
