Why are internationals studying at United World Colleges treated highly? Do they have greater chances/acceptances?. Does this mean other International students don't stand a chance? I'm really worried about this.

I wouldn’t worry. Based on what I saw last year when a friend’s son applied from one, they get no preference. The exception seems to be Singapore, but I’m told it’s because of who attends–apparently they have many wealthy donor children.

But wouldn’t I (not a UWC student) be competing highly with UWC students?

You’re competing with everyone applying from your country.
