I'm applying to Princeton because I can't stand the other person in my grade who's applying there, and I want to upstage her by getting in. What about you?

The majority of the schools that I intend to apply to are LAC’s because I find small class sizes to be preferable. I’m also fond of intimacy and collaborative learning (as opposed to competitive).

^^I hope that’s not you’re only reason even though it’s a funny one.

I’m applying for Stanford even though I have a very low chance of getting in (I’m not pandering for encouragement, I’m thinking realistically) because it’s prestigious, it’s cool (temperature-wise), it’s cheap (I’d be given financial aid), and it’s close to SF (I was born there but don’t live there now). I also apply because I don’t like regretting things, and even if I don’t make it I can think that I at least tried, and, hey, a small chance is still a chance.

That’s the reason you’re applying there? Wow. That’s unfortunate.

Harvard. It’s ****ing Harvard.

OP, you’re awesome, I was about to do that with MIT but their essays are seriously just 1 too many for me to bother. But he didn’t get into cornell and I did and I’m going to a better college than he is (and he’s not into MIT) so ya know, still pretty cool outcome.

But I’m done with the application process, I applied and am going to my school for their awesome robots and theater.
