<p>I'm just curious as to your answers.</p>
<p>1) I learn a lot here, way more than I do from my hs counselor anyway.</p>
<p>2) i don’t have the kind of friends with whom I can obsessively discuss college.</p>
<p>3) you get insider perspective from students or parents of students that attend certain schools that you would never get from princeton review or college board or whatever.</p>
<p>I find myself asking myself that question more and more daily. Lol not for real real just for play play 
</p>
<p>But if I had to seriously answer this question I would have to say because these are the only people in my life that truly understand how all this stuff works and it beats Y!A when I have a question :P</p>

<p>Because my guidance counselor doesn’t know anything about the colleges I want to go to. I’ve seriously talked to her like three times in my high school career and most of the time she calls me an “overachiever” and is incredibly rude. I’ve found more info on CC then anywhere else…</p>

<p>@vjtodyoms I totally agree with number 2 Haha. Sometimes I start, and after ~10 min, I can totally tell they are losing interest.</p>
<p>I learn so much more from this site than my incompetent counselors, subpar teachers, and very un-CCish classmates. Intellects are a dying breed in America and we need to band together or face extinction.</p>
