This is to joev, welshie, fendergirl, and all the others who're in college but still visit this board frequently. What makes you keep coming here?

I found this board while looking for old AP tests back in early 2002 and have been addicted on and off. I'm already in college and though I thought of transferring, that was just some of my crazy indecisiveness talking. I'm happy where I'm at, so I don't need any "What are my chances?" questions answered -- not that I ever asked any of those, haha. So I'm wondering why I'm here.

I love message boarding -- been doing it ever since I got the internet in middle school. And it's a great way to procrastinate/pass the time as I'm sure we can all agree.

I've been to a couple other message boards like Death Cab for Cutie, Chuck Palahniuk's The Cult, etc... But the posters there are just boooorring.

Somebody suggest a new message board to get hooked on. And help me understand why I'm still here.

you want to help us, the ignorants high schoolers, who scurrying around trying to get into the college of their choice and freak out about college life in the process.

try www.genmay.com its one of the largest message boards on the net in terms of threads and posts. its like a lifestyle for the people there. threads on almost anything and everything

I don't remember how exactly I found this message board, but I stick with it because for the most part the posters are pretty intelligent, and the mods do a halfway decent job of keeping the board spam free. This damn board is like crack I tell you. Its highly funny, because I have absolutely nothing in common with anyone on this board.

I've been recognized as a CC addict? Oh no, that can't be good. Every now and again I get to educate the common folk... scratch that... every now and again I get to educate the not-so-common-oh-my-gosh-I-got-into-HYPSAWAMIC folk and exert some level of superiority over them in the field of music, computers, and sometimes politics. If nothing else, it's a a self esteem booster.

I think it's partly to help the frantic high schoolers, partly to talk to other college students (face, even us high and mightly college students have questions sometimes), and partly because it is just like crack..er I mean partly because you get to know the people on the board...that's it...

I came last year with my own questions about college. Now I want to give advice back. And to see how everyone else is doing in the civilian world :(

I still come here because not a whole lot of people have answers about canadian schools/the canadian school application process from an american's perspective. I was confused as heck last year and like to know that i'm helping not only raise awareness for canadian schools, but making the process less nerve wracking for those applying.

that and it's a great ego trip that makes me feel much more intelligent than say, the physics discussion boards on my school's website ;)

hehe I need cc...people laugh when they find out i'm just a junior in hs and I have almost 1500 posts. You guys are great to get an actual college man/woman's perspecttive, keep on posting!

haha celebrian has an opinion for all, whether they wanna listen or not
