why babson over bentley, for finance…

Hi there,

While I cannot speak to the finance department at Bentley, I am a Finance concentration here at Babson so I can speak about ours. In addition to the great professors we have here, we have amazing resources. The Cutler Center on campus is a beautiful space with Bloomberg terminals, tickers, and many other financial databases-open to everyone on campus. In the Cutler Center one of our flagship programs takes place. The Babson College Fund is a course for juniors and seniors interested in investments. The students help to manage over $1 million of the college’s endowment, making real presentations and stock pitches each week. We also have a Finance Mentor Network which pairs students who are concentrating in Finance with Babson alums who are working in the financial services industry. For example, my mentor now works at a hedge fund in NYC and was great help in my job search. I have enjoyed my experience with the faculty and students here in the Finance department.

If you have any other questions please let us know!

I have had my heart set on Babson since I first met an alum and did some research. I toured in February and it was better than expected.

So, what are the chances?

Looked at Bentley, too, but feel, right or wrong, that it’s now only known in New England and Northeast, where Babson has more name recognition.
