Why BC?

For those of you attending BC this fall, why is BC your first choice? What qualities of BC made you choose this school over another? This question was posed on another post, but I’ll ask again anyway: Newton or Upper? And the reasons for choosing the former or the latter. Thanks.

BC wasn't my first choice before, but after yesterday it is.

First, i absolutely adored the campus. It was gorgeous, and the buildings look like castles! It's nice and secluded and safe, but it also offers really easy access to Boston.

Second, the people are great. It really seems like a community, and it doesn't seem like anyone would be excluded.

Third, academics. All the programs seemed very intellectual and interesting. I visited BU and BC in the same weekend, and BC totally seemed like it was on a whole differet level.

Fourth, they have ballet! ::Celebrates:: !!!!!!

Fifth, they let me in!!! Good enough for me!

Edit: I asked yesterday, and apparently we don't get to choose if we'd rather live on Newton or Upper, so I'm not gonna be too worried about it.

actually im pretty sure u do get to pick newton or upper...they ask u on the forms

If you want Newton, you get Newton because most people don't want to be there. If you request Upper, there's no guarantees.

You can only request to be on Newton, but most people say that they really dont care about what you request, they let their computer place you.

So I conclude yay Upper nay Newton. I guess I'll select Upper on the online form. :) Thanks~
