Why [blank] University?

How do you structure these kind of essays? I do not know where to start.

yeah, im having a hard time making mine "unique". i know why i like the school, but it seems like everyone will write what i write.

Pick one thing that stands out and write extensively w/ detail about that. Most people will write in generalities, instead your essay about one thing will be unique.

bump please

A few schools asked me this. I wrote about my visits some (mostly as a starting point), and incorporated praise/warm fuzzy feelings about the qualities I looked for in the school. For one I mentioned the perks of the location also, because it is not only in a city, but close-ish to my family.

If the school is known for a few things - beautiful campus, demanding curriculum, great school spirit, for example - you can acknowledge these, but try to focus on a detail item that will stand out a bit more, e.g., having strong departments in both Neuroscience AND Architecture, combining your two major interests and feeding into your career aspirations to incorporate more brain science in the design of buildings (to cite a wild example). Or, a personal anecdote that shows how you were profoundly affected by some aspect of the school might work too.

I compared one of my schools to a pimped out car.
Umm... it makes sense in context. Kind of.
