what did you guys write about? did you use specifics–like specific programs or events…?

could i just write about the attitude of the students at Brown, how it creates the perfect atmosphere for me, and write about a few of the subjects i’m most interested in and how i would pursue them at Brown or what?

how did you talk about academic interests?

is this essay really all that important or…

any comment would be truly appreciated!! i’m in a crunch!

Take it however you like. It's guaranteed that there will be a wide variety of approaches to the question. Personally, I wrote along your lines, although I know plenty who talk about specific programs, facilities, professors, etc. If it's genuine and powerful enough, the approach could matter less.

Edit - I misread part of your thread. Your take on it sounds good. Divvying it up between atmosphere and personal interests would be a splendid idea.

I focused mine on classes, programs, etc.
