When I go to the on-line portion of the application, it says, “Part I - Application for Admission (Deadline Has Passed). Submission Status: Not Submitted.” Then in the left-hand column, it says the deadline for Early Decision was November 1, 2004.

This is my question: When will I be able to go through the website and fill out my application? When will their website have information for me to complete the application process? I want to go through and complete it as soon as possible so I will have time for other things like teacher recommendations and essay questions.

I started mine around mid-october. How long does it really take you to fill out forms? Are you imagining that it will take years or something? It's really pretty short.

yeah.. if you're that anxious, you can start working on your essays now in Microsoft Word and transfer them when the new application is up. Also, doing the activities list and figuring out who to ask for recommendations will give you a head start.

I always planned to do my applications early, but realistically, I don't begin except for writing my name and address info until the week it's due. I have just enough time to write the rough draft of my essays to reach the post office before it closes on the date of the deadline. I like the quality of my work better that way- raw and spontaneous.

Yes, because the questions are very non-specific. They want to know what you've done, who you are, and where you think you might be headed. The need to know those things doesn't change from year to year.

Just look at the old app questions; I doubt they will change much (if at all).

I started my Yale EA app (due November 1) in early October and finished it about a week before the deadline. When I was deferred in mid-December, I waited until my winter break began until doing the rest of my apps... I finished for Brown about two days before it was due, as I recall. There really isn't much work for the Brown app (or any other app) that needs to be done... the one thing that I would suggest doing now is making a list of all your activities and such because you can forget things close to deadlines and then not have the time to remember them and change them.
