I’ve been working full time in a management for my entire college career. I have a small side hustle that taught me how to do online marketing. I’ve applied for internships left and right, most unpaid and for some reason I never hear back! Has retail poisoned my resume? I have a 3.67 GPA at Rutgers University. Due to my work, I haven’t been involved in any clubs or student organizations. Is anyone else having this problem?
I read an article about how some companies use computers to filter which resumes get read. Is this true? I would think that only applies to large companies, not small law firms or businesses. It is either my resume is awful or I am somehow overqualified for an unpaid position. Either way, the search is frustrating and beginning to get depressing.
