I currently attend a community college. I will be transferring to the UC system Fall 2017. I was accepted into UCSD and UCSB and sociology major. Honestly, I want to choose UCSD. However, I have heard that UCSB has a higher rank when it comes to sociology. I am really confused. If any current San Diego students can provide their insight regarding the sociology program or why I should choose UCSD that would be helpful. THANKS!
If UCSD feels like a better fit for you, you should definitely go with your gut and choose SD. It is true that Sociology is a very strong major at SB, however SD is a great school and both programs are highly regarded. I can’t see one program opening more doors than the other…and this is coming from a happy UCSB Sociology alum :-). Good luck to you!
