<p>I'm just wondering, is our response supposed to be a full essay, or just a few paragraphs focusing on the one or two main things that we love most about Columbia. The Common App shows that it's labeled as a "short answer," and I kind of got the impression that we don't need a full introduction, body, and conclusion, but rather, just two or three paragraphs diving right into what we like about the school. Can anyone clarify? Thanks!</p>
<p>it shouldn’t be a full essay, but I don’t think it is a bad idea to use the first sentence to lay out what are the themes you will write about. but based on your description it should ‘dive right in’ to discussing the school using your own voice and knowledge of columbia.</p>
