I really need a cute "Why essay"!!</p>
<p>Connecticut College is really into their honor code. Other than that,m I'd say find something in an academic or extracurricular area that you are interested in and research what unique opportunities CT college has in those areas. I am trying to write this essay too and have no idea.</p>

One thing special about CTC is that it's near the sea.(But I've seen in the viewbook a 09 student has written about the sea so this topic is not refreshing)
I've changed my mind:not talking about much things about CTC but about myself.</p>
<p>some features:
-they have some very unique interdisciplinary programs and certificate programs
-funded internships
-excellent study abroad opportunities,
-very strong sense of community,
-small classes-->chance to work closely with professors
-mascot=camel,
-location: 10 minutes from the beach, 2 hours to nyc, 70 minutes to boston, 40 minutes to providence, 40 minutes to hartford, 30 minutes to new haven</p>

But things like internships,small classes or study abroad programs are not unique to CTC.Many other colleges like Colby has better abroad programs.</p>
<p>And you can of course not talk about nyc,providence,or hartford.That makes the AO suspect why you haven't applied to Columbia,Brown or Trincoll.</p>
<p>Their mascot is a camel?Oh,I talked about another animal in my PS!</p>
<p>i didnt say that all of those features were unique to conn- just suggesting somethings you can highlight in the "why conn" essay.

<p>Well,I'm sorry that I didn't say that clearly.I just meant that some features can't make "Why" essay really quite unique and persuasive.</p>
<p>As to the "rank" of study abroad programs,just according to the percentage and renown of course.I never mean that conncoll's program is not good enough,just some other colleges' abroad programs are extremely well-known and the quality is excellent.And if I say in my essay that I simply apply to Conncoll because of such programs,it's not persuasive.</p>
