I'm not sure-- I think that it is either the 10th or the 15th. I seriously hope that it is the 10th-- that way I can get on with my life sooner if I am deferred/rejected and not harbor false hopes of getting into Harvard anymore.

Agreed. And we also have to send out those other applications quickly if Harvard doesn't work out.

The Adcom has probably made 70%+ of its decisions by now! They should just let us know as soon as they finish reviewing our folders. Ha, I wish.

AHHHHHHHH! I still haven't done my interview. I already called a Harvard alum who told me to wait for a call from someone else. That person hasn't called me yet. Will they make the decision without the interview then? Does this hurt my chances-- it isn't my fault?

To clarify, I called the Harvard alum last week, who told me to wait another week for someone else to call me.

Okay, so you called Harvard and got the number of the local alumnus? Hmm, well, I don't think it'll hurt you if you can't get an interview--at least that's what it says in the Harvard catalog.

I would think, if your application was stellar, Harvard may have already decided, with or without the interview.

I didnt have an interview either. I called Harvard and they gave me the phone number of the St. Louis Area interview coordinator, who has yet to call me back. At first i figured it might be because I was already rejected, but i find it shocking that a valedictorian with a 1560, 800/770/750 SAT II's and a lot of extracurriculars could get rejected without an interview. I just hope they dont defer me soley because i havent had an interview. But then again, i geuss we have somethign to blame our deferrals on (it isnt our fault we didnt get in, its the interviewers LOL)
